Sell on Bōde with Power of Attorney: choose “selling for someone else,” confirm POA, upload a notarized POA form, complete your listing, and submit for review.
Selling a Property with Power of Attorney
The Bōde listing process supports individuals with Power of Attorney (POA) status to sell a property on our platform. Here's how it works:
- Create a draft listing (https://bode.ca/sell-your-home) and begin entering the property details.
- In the Ownership section, select from the different ownership scenarios.
- Choose "I'm selling on behalf of someone else."
- Fill in your own information in the seller details section, as you will be representing the listing.
- When prompted, select "Yes" for the question: "I have or will have Power of Attorney for this property."
- Download the Power of Attorney document.
- Note: This document may not be available in all locations. If it’s not available to download, please consult with a lawyer to obtain the correct form.
- Complete the document and have it notarized.
- Upload the completed and notarized POA document in the designated section.
- Note: If you provided your own document, ensure it is notarized before uploading.
- Finish the rest of the listing process and click Submit.
- The Bōde Team will review your document and listing information, and reach out if they have any questions.
