How Do Counter Offers Work on Bōde?

One of the biggest advantages of Bōde’s offer feature is the ability to negotiate entirely online — making it easy to submit, counter, and accept offers with full transparency and efficiency.

Here’s How the Counter Offer Process Works

  1. Buyer Submits the Offer
Once a buyer submits an offer, the seller has three options:

    • Accept the offer
    • Decline the offer
    • Submit a counter offer
  2. Seller Reviews and Edits
If the seller chooses to counter, they can adjust any unsatisfactory terms, including:

    • Price
    • Possession date
    • Terms and conditions
    • They may also add seller-specific conditions
  3. New Expiration Time
The seller sets a new expiration deadline and submits the counter offer.

  4. Buyer Notification
The buyer receives an email alert letting them know that a counter offer has been submitted.

  5. Changes Are Highlighted
When the buyer opens the counter offer, all edits are clearly highlighted for easy review.

  6. Buyer Responds
    The buyer can then:

    • Accept the counter and confirm the deal
    • Make further changes and submit another counter offer

This back-and-forth can continue until both parties reach an agreement — all from within the Bōde platform, with a clear audit trail of every step.
