Last night I dreamt of the perfect two storey home located close to Calgary while offering the peace and tranquility in the Hamlet of Langdon. It was located on a large corner lot backing west onto a massive green space and children's playground area, where my kids could easily be seen playing, running around or riding their bikes, while I sipped on my coffee on the west facing deck. Sometimes I would walk to the golf course a block away, or pick up groceries or even another coffee from Tim's a few blocks away, it was a very peaceful place. The dream continued.... I imagined how I would use the bonus room as well as the massive primary bedroom while my spouse relaxed in the tranquil ensuite. Then I thought of how we would entertain with the spacious flex rom separated from the open concept dining room with my favorite slate faced fireplace, all with hardwood flooring. My spouse would gleem at the gourmet kitchen with extra height cabinets, large island all with granite counters with loads of natural light beaming through to the rear yard and its massive west facing deck. I smiled as I saw myself backing the 5th wheel onto the extra wide driveway while my spouse carefully watched my prowess from the covered front balcony, but then I thought about my early morning runs, and preparing for work that day in my home office. I looked out from my desk, but my thoughts were not about work; I was planning a small renovation in the basement. The only troubling part of my dream was that I couldn't figure out if I should go with a dark colour scheme or something a bit lighter. What would you do?
